What can this generator discover?
Public HTML pages linked from your starting URL, up to 500 page attempts. Links created only by JavaScript, sign-in pages, blocked pages and unlinked URLs cannot be discovered. Subdomains and different protocols are separate origins. Failed pages are skipped. Redirects on the first page establish the crawl origin.
Image mode includes image URLs from HTML image attributes, including common lazy-loading and responsive image attributes. It does not inspect stylesheets or execute scripts. Each image entry belongs to its containing page. Only crawl websites you own or have permission to crawl. This version does not interpret robots.txt rules; review the target website’s crawl policy before use.

Why Sitemaps Matter for Search Engines
A sitemap gives web crawlers a structured list of content to discover. It is especially helpful when important pages sit several links below the homepage or are difficult to reach through ordinary navigation.
It complements good internal links. A sitemap does not guarantee indexing or a higher ranking, and it cannot make private or inaccessible pages available. Keep it focused on public URLs that you want crawlers to discover.
The History and Evolution of Sitemaps
In the early 2000s, many websites offered human-readable sitemap pages to help visitors navigate growing collections of content. Machine-readable XML sitemaps later gave automated crawlers a common way to discover URLs.
In 2006, the XML Sitemap protocol became a broadly supported open standard. Its simple structure has remained useful as websites have evolved: a location for each page, with optional extensions for specialized content.
Today, sitemaps remain a useful discovery layer for search engines and other automated systems, including AI agents that choose to use them. They describe where content lives; each crawler decides how to retrieve and interpret it.

No saved crawl history
The application has no accounts, database, analytics or advertising scripts. We do not persist submitted URLs, fetched page content or generated sitemaps on our servers. The crawl queue and results are held in your browser’s memory. Reloading or leaving this page clears them. Files you choose to download remain on your device.
How page requests work
Your browser manages the crawl and builds the XML file. To access other websites, it sends each requested URL to our Cloudflare Worker. The Worker temporarily processes that URL and the returned HTML, then sends the response to your browser. This means fetching is not exclusively local. Do not submit private URLs, access tokens or confidential content.
The target website receives requests from Cloudflare’s infrastructure. Our proxy does not forward your browser cookies, authorization headers or your IP address to the target website.
Hosting and technical processing
Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, provides hosting and network security. It may process IP addresses, request information and technical security logs to deliver and protect the service. Retention depends on Cloudflare’s applicable policies and service configuration. Application request logging is disabled in this project. Temporary infrastructure counters are used to limit excessive requests.
Technical processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in operating a secure, stable service. Cloudflare may provide aggregated operational statistics, such as traffic, errors and security events. These are separate from client-side tracking or stored crawl histories.
Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Applicable transfer safeguards and contractual terms are described in its Data Processing Addendum.
For details, see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies and browser storage
The application does not set cookies or use local storage, session storage or tracking technologies. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security cookies when its security features require them.
Where strictly necessary security features store or access information on your device, the relevant basis is Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG; related personal-data processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. This application uses system fonts and does not contact external font services.
Contact and correspondence
For privacy questions, contact Mario V.W.B.R. Obst at message@sitemap.download. If you send an email, your address and message are processed to respond to your enquiry; this correspondence is separate from the generator’s temporary crawl data.
Enquiries are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR to respond to your request, or Article 6(1)(b) where pre-contractual measures apply. Correspondence is deleted when it is no longer needed, subject to legal retention requirements or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Postal correspondence sent to the address for service is received by JL Consulting Group GmbH and forwarded or, when instructed, digitised. This involves sender, recipient and shipment data, and message content where scanning is commissioned. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR, as applicable. Retention is limited to the relevant purpose and applicable legal requirements.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable statutory conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw any consent with future effect. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Where Swiss data protection law applies, its relevant rights also remain available.
