Why is my website URL rejected?

The service accepts only public HTTP or HTTPS website addresses on their standard ports. Credentials in a URL, IP-literal addresses, local hostnames and the generator’s own domain are rejected. Very long URLs are also unsupported.

Enter a normal public hostname without a username, password or custom port. These checks protect the public proxy from inappropriate destinations; they are not an indication that the target page has an indexing problem.
