Are URL parameters and canonical tags handled automatically?

Fragments are removed and exact duplicate URLs are deduplicated. Query parameters remain, because they may identify distinct content. Canonical tags are not interpreted. Review duplicate variants manually and keep the preferred URLs; do not remove all parameters indiscriminately.

For instance, a campaign parameter may duplicate a clean article URL, while a pagination parameter may expose different content. The review step is where you decide which collected versions belong in your export.
