What is a canonical URL, and does this tool detect it?

A canonical URL identifies the preferred version of content when multiple addresses are similar or equivalent. A page can declare a preferred address with a canonical link element.

This generator does not interpret canonical tags. It can therefore list multiple parameter or path variants. Compare the review list with your site’s preferred URLs and deselect unwanted alternatives. Fix inconsistent internal links or canonical configuration at the source too.
