Should I replace my website platform’s existing sitemap?

Not automatically. Many content platforms maintain sitemaps as their content changes. Replacing one with a one-time export can make it harder to keep the inventory current.

Inspect the existing sitemap and compare its coverage with your needs. Use this tool for an independent review or an export where appropriate. Check whether the platform will overwrite manual uploads before changing files on your host.
